REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR THE RE-DESIGN OF THE WATER AND SEWERAGE RETICULATION SYSTEM AS WELL AS THE TREATMENT PROCESS FOR THE INSTITUTION

1.0     Background

Baobab College is an international institution located in Lusaka, Lilayi on Kafue Road, serving a diverse student body from various backgrounds. Our campus includes classrooms, dormitories, sports facilities, offices and residences with vast ground in a perimeter fence. We are committed to maintaining a secure environment conducive to academic excellence and personal growth.

2.0       Objective of the assignment

In an effort to continually improve its service delivery, the college intends to engage the services of a consulting firm to undertake the re-design of the water and sewerage articulation system as well as the treatment process for the institution. The assignment is in line with the School’s development plan to ensure that the water and sewerage system continues to meet the needs of the growing number of students and overall college development.

3.0           Consultant’s Requirements  

Interested and qualified consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified, have the required expertise and experience to design the water and sewerage system.

The expressions of interest must include the following minimum information: -

  1. availability of appropriate skill by providing bio-data of key personnel to be involved and other relevant particulars to demonstrate adequate professional and technical qualifications;
  2. description of similar assignments;
  3. list of references for similar assignments undertaken including names of the institutions/countries and contact details;
  4. all documentation must be prepared and submitted in the English language;
  5. experience of working in a developing country on similar assignments; and
  6. print-out from the Patents and Companies Registration Agency that the respondent is a local bidder.

4.0           Details for Submission

The Expressions of Interest should be submitted in hard copy. The closing date for the receipt of applications is Friday, November 30, 2024 at 10.00 hours local time and any submissions received after the time and date stipulated above shall not be accepted. The submissions will be opened after closing.

Respondents meeting the above criteria will receive a Request for Proposals document (RFP) for the assignment and will be required to submit detailed technical and financial proposals based on the detailed Terms of Reference that will be issued to them.
