Summary
Our Middle School curriculum is varied and rigorous. Within all year groups in the Middle School, we provide opportunities for students to learn in a variety of different ways and to use our extensive grounds and facilities. All year groups have the opportunity to study science and ICT in fully functional labs, have their creative subjects in the specialised DT, food technology and art rooms.
Lower Middle School:
The Lower Middle School consists of Years 5 and 6. In this department, we still follow the primary National Curriculum for England and Wales, where 60% of teaching is taught by the class teachers; the rest of the teaching is taught by our specialist teachers.
Upper Middle School:
The Upper Middle School, consisting of Years 7 and 8, continues the transition. This is where students start the National Curriculum for England and Wales for Key Stage 3. Students take the following subjects: English, Maths, Science, French, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Art, Design and Technology, Food Technology, Music, Information Technology and Physical Education.
