Position: Part-time Secretary to the Board


Baobab College is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Secretary to the Board starting August 1, 2024. This role is essential in supporting the Board's activities and ensuring smooth administrative operations.


Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the Board, including preparing and distributing meeting agendas, minutes, and other documents.
• Coordinate Board meetings, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Board activities.
• Assist with communication between Board members and other stakeholders.
• Manage Board correspondence and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Support the implementation of the Board’s strategic initiatives.


Qualifications:
• Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably within an educational or non-profit organization.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Flexibility to attend meetings outside regular working hours as needed.

LETTER OF INVITATION

RFT NO. BC/CS/001/2024: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR PROVISION OF CATERING SERVICES TO BAOBAB COLLEGE CANTEEN

  1. Baobab College has made a provision for outsourcing catering services for its Canteen located along Kafue Road, Lilayi. This includes a School Tuck Shop within the Canteen Building
  2. Baobab College now invites sealed bids from prospective bidders in the hospitality industry to submit technical and financial proposals for the provision of catering services for the Baobab Canteen and boarding facility.
  3. Bidding documents and additional copies may be purchased by interested bidders from Baobab College, Finance Office, Kafue Road, Chilanga, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Hundred Kwacha (K500.00) inclusive of VAT, in cash. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.
  4. Sealed proposals must be deposited in the tender box situated at the Administration office, Baobab College, Kafue Road, Chilanga, on or before Friday, 5th July 2024 at 12:00 hours local time and any proposals received after the time and date stipulated will not be accepted. The proposals will be opened thereafter in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend. Feedback will be communicated no later than 22nd July 2024.
  5. A firm will be selected under Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS): procedures.
